Sunday School Classes are available for all ages and meet between the two Worship Services. This is a great way to meet people in the church and grow spiritually. Dedicated teachers make learning interesting for the children and adults. Each week, our Sunday School classes study the same Bible story (we use the FaithWeaver curriculum). By coordinating each class to the same Bible lesson, this allows each family member the ability to share their Sunday morning learning experience with the rest of the family at home.
Sunday School Classes:
Just as we go to school to build an academic foundation for functioning in the working world, we come to church to develop a Christian foundation for continued spiritual growth. Sunday School classes are held from nursery to youth.
Nursery:
A nursery class is provided during the Sunday School hour, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for children up to 3 years of age. Monitors are given to parents in case their assistance is needed by a nursery worker. Children 3 to 6 years of age can attend our Children's Church Service. Our nursery and Children's Church Service are located on the second floor directly behind the sanctuary.
Preschool Division: The nursery is provided and is an integral part of our Sunday School. We believe that when babies learn to love to come to Sunday School, it has a positive impact on their lives. Classes are available for three, four, and five year olds. Their learning includes creative play, story time, and group activity time. Early Chritian learning is an important basis for a happy, healthy childhood.
Elementary Division: Elementary classes include children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade. Children learn best by doing, so lessons are provided using "a hands on approach" as well as things to hear and see.
Youth Division: Middle School classes are provided for students in grades 6-8. High School students enjoy meeting in an "upper" room to talk about how God's Word applies to their lives and to the challenges and opportunities the High School bring to them.

" Adult Insights" is an all age class that studies non-traditional Sunday School material. In the past we have studied "Solving The Da Vinci Code", Men are like Waffles and Women are like Spaghetti", and "Religions of the World". We also do video series such as "Gilligan's Island and the Seven Deadly Sins" and a "Christmas Carroll". The class is designed to encourage members to voice their opinions and lead to lively discussion. We often learn more from the discussions than from just reading the text. The class members decide on the next material to be studied at the end of the current session. We are currently studying Why Men and Women Act The Way They Do" by Bill and Pam Farrel. If you like lively discussion you will fit right in, please join us.
Class: Christian Classics
The Christian Classics Class meets every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the Ruth Room, and is a discussion-oriented class open to all ages and viewpoints—the broader the range of opinion, the better! We read books that are considered “classics” of Christian writing and discuss them in class. In the past, we have studied spiritually enriching works by C.S. Lewis, William Barclay, Maxie Dunnam, and currently Max Lucado (March, 2010). Discussion leaders, who alternate each week, are currently Walt Swainey, Martha Cleary, Allison Knight and Bob Culp. If you are interested in more information you may contact one of these leaders or feel free to join us at 10 a.m. on Sundays in the Ruth Room.
