GREAT - GOOD NEWS

The HUMC Prayers and Squares Ministry has been recognized as the Burlington District Lay Ministry of the Year.  The recognition came on Sunday, March 22, at the District Laity Rally.  Karen DeSombre received the award on behalf of the Prayers and Squares Ministry.  Ann Ward, Nancy Hynus, Esther Haithcock, Herman Ward, and Bill Hynus -participants in the ministry - were also on hand as the award was presented.

Prayers and Squares will now be nominated for the North Carolina Annual Conference Lay Ministry of the Year Recognition which will be presented at the June meeting of the Annual Conference.  Many thanks to all who support this far reaching ministry of love, care, and prayer.

Holy Communion

On the first Sunday of each month, the Lord's Supper is offered at both services.  You do not have to be a member to participate.  The table and altar are open to all who wish to share in this holy sacrament.
